Quickstart

Go from sign-up to seeing what your meetings cost in about five minutes: create a workspace, connect a calendar and check your rates.

1. Create your workspace

Sign up and Hourari walks you through setup.

  • Set up your workspace. Enter your company name, your name and your job title. Industry and company size are optional.
  • Connect your calendar. Choose Connect Google Calendar or Connect Outlook. You can skip this and do it later, but nothing is priced until a calendar is connected.
  • Cost engine and alerts. Check the Default hourly rate — it starts at 100 — and optionally connect Slack. Choose Finish setup and launch dashboard.

Finishing setup starts a free 14-day trial. No credit card is needed.

If your company already uses Hourari and has registered its email domain, setup offers to send a request to join that workspace instead.

2. Let the first sync run

Once a calendar is connected, Hourari syncs everything from the start of last month to the end of next month, then keeps it up to date about every 30 minutes. To start straight away, open Settings → Integrations and choose Sync now.

3. Check your rates

Every attendee is priced at an hourly rate, and the default rate is what anyone without a rate of their own costs. Change it any time in Settings → Company → Fallback hourly rate. How costs are calculated explains the rest.

4. Add your company email domain

In Settings → Company → Company email domains, add the domain your team's email addresses use. Hourari uses it to tell colleagues from outside guests: colleagues are priced, guests are not.

If your team signs in with company addresses, Hourari can usually work this out for itself. It cannot when they use personal addresses such as Gmail — add the domain so colleagues are not mistaken for guests.

5. Bring in your team

Open Team and choose Invite people to add colleagues by email or by uploading a CSV. See Invite your team.

Your setup checklist

Until setup is complete, owners and admins see Finish setup in the sidebar, and the full checklist is on the Get started guide under Help. It tracks the steps above, plus assigning roles and setting a monthly budget where your plan includes them.
