Hourari vs Flowtrace
Flowtrace and Hourari both put a cost on meetings, from rates your company sets. Flowtrace leans towards analytics and checks invites before they are sent. Hourari leans towards acting on what it finds: budgets, declines and recurring reviews.

| Before a meeting is sent | Cost estimate while planning a meeting in Hourari, on Team and up. Meeting rules on Business. | Invite rules and a confirmation when a meeting is over a cost threshold, inside Google Calendar, on its Scale plan. |

Where Hourari is different
Budgets for meeting spend
A monthly budget for the company, and for each team on Business, with a warning when the month is on pace to go over.
It acts on your calendar when you ask
Decline from your own calendar, change who is invited, shorten a meeting, or pause or end a recurring series. Recurring meetings come up for review so they do not run forever.
Built for finance
Spend policies with approvals, cost by team, and Workday and NetSuite exports on Business.
When Flowtrace is the better fit
- If you want rules enforced inside Google Calendar as people send invites, Flowtrace does that today. Hourari’s warnings appear only when you plan a meeting in Hourari.
- If you want team analytics beyond meetings, such as Slack or Jira activity, Flowtrace covers more ground.
- On price per seat, Flowtrace is cheaper.
Questions
- Does Hourari block meetings?
- No. Nothing in Hourari stops a meeting being sent. It warns, alerts and asks for approval where you set that up, and declines or shortens only when someone chooses to.
- Does Hourari read Slack or Jira?
- No. Hourari reads calendars. Its Slack app posts reports and alerts and answers a command, but does not read messages.
