For finance teams

Put a line item on the largest untracked cost in the business

You track every subscription and every travel expense to the dollar. Meetings, which cost more than both, usually have no line at all. Hourari prices every meeting from your calendar and keeps the monthly total, the trend and the forecast.

The math

Where the return comes from

No projections and no assumed multipliers: just the price of the software against the cost of the meetings it makes visible. Reclaim this share of the one meeting above and the seats for everyone in it have paid for themselves.

Budgets

A forecast before the month closes

Set a monthly budget for meeting spend and pick alerts at 50, 80 or 100% of it, by email or in Slack. The owner also hears when the month is on pace to go over, while it is still under budget: spent so far, plus what is already booked, carried to month end.

Budgets and alerts are on the Team plan and up. See budgets and alerts and cost trends.

Inputs and outputs

Figures you can trace in and take out

Every cost comes from the calendar and the rates you set, priced at the loaded rate: salary plus an overhead multiplier for benefits, payroll tax and office costs. And the totals leave the dashboard in the formats your accounting system already loads.

Loaded rates, not salaries

The owner sets an overhead multiplier between 1.00 and 3.00, on every plan. Changing it re-prices every meeting at once, so the trend shows no jump.

Exports your ERP can load

Meeting cost by cost centre as a Workday EIB or NetSuite GL file, plus QuickBooks and raw CSV, on the Business plan. A team with no cost centre is named before the file is built, never left out silently.

The rest of what finance gets

Meetings as a CSV

Every plan exports meetings and their costs for a preset date range. Business adds any custom range and JSON.

A report you can print

The monthly insights report as a PDF, and a monthly insights email, on every plan.

Salaries stay with the owner

Only the owner sees salaries and individual rates. Everyone else sees costs at the workspace rate, so nobody’s pay can be worked out.

You decide who sees costs

Costs can be hidden from admins or members. Someone who cannot see them sees hours instead, and totals leave hidden costs out.

Sign-off above a threshold

On Business, above your sign-off amount the organizer is told the meeting needs approval and can ask for it. Owners and admins decide from one queue.

Expensive meetings questioned

On Business, the agenda firewall asks the organizer of a costly meeting with no agenda for one, and offers invitees a decline. It never cancels anything.
