The meeting bill, where your team already talks
Every week Hourari posts what meetings cost to the Slack channel you choose, with the five most expensive named. The conversation about cutting one happens in the thread underneath.
Sample data. Your numbers come from your own calendar.
The weekly digest
Four numbers and five meetings
The digest arrives on the day and at the time you pick, without anyone running anything. It is short on purpose: the week's cost, and the meetings that made most of it.
- Total meeting cost and hours
- Everything the week’s meetings cost your company, and the meeting hours behind it.
- Average cost per meeting
- The total divided by the number of meetings, so a week of many small meetings and a week of a few big ones read differently.
- Reclaimed by declining
- What declining meetings reclaimed over the week, and how many people declined. Counts, never names.
- Top 5 most expensive meetings
- Ranked by cost, each with its length and headcount, so the meeting worth questioning is named.
Who sees what
Full figures in a DM, totals in a channel
Sent to you directly, the digest shows every figure. Sent to a channel, it keeps the ranking, the lengths and the headcounts, and leaves out what each meeting cost, until you choose to show costs there.
Meetings with fewer than three people are left off a channel's list, and totals are withheld when a week has too few meetings for them to be anonymous.
Beyond the digest
Act on a meeting without leaving Slack
Each message has its own switch. Get a heads-up before an expensive meeting, a note when spend crosses your budget, and the price of a meeting before you book it, from any conversation.
Before an expensive meeting
A heads-up between 15 minutes and 2 hours before any meeting over a cost you set. Decline sends a real decline from your own calendar.
Price a meeting with /hourari
Type the people and the length. Only you see the answer, and nothing is posted to the conversation.
Budget thresholds
A message when meeting spend reaches 50%, 80% and 100% of your monthly budget.
Set it up once, then leave it alone
A channel or a DM
Send reports to a public channel or to yourself. Hourari never lists private channels.
Your day and time
The weekly digest goes out when you choose. A daily summary of the day’s spend is there too, if you want it.
Three presets
Weekly digest only, digest and alerts, or everything. Each message also has its own switch.
Pause everything
Stop every message at once without losing your choices, and pick up where you left off.
Pay stays private
Command replies price everyone at your default rate, so nobody’s pay can be worked out from them.
It posts, it does not read
Hourari posts and answers /hourari. It does not read your workspace’s messages.
