Terms of Service
Last updated: October 18, 2026
1. About Hourari
Hourari is a meeting cost calculator that helps teams understand how much time and money they spend in meetings. By connecting your calendar, Hourari calculates meeting costs based on attendee roles and hourly rates, and provides analytics to help you make smarter decisions about when to meet.
2. User Responsibilities
Hourari is a business tool. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the service, and if you sign up on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for it.
By using Hourari, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information during registration and onboarding
- Keep your account credentials secure and confidential
- Use the service only for its intended purpose
- Not attempt to reverse-engineer, exploit, or misuse the platform
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
3. Intellectual Property and Ownership
Hourari and everything that makes it work — the software, design, branding, and the content we publish — belong to us. Using the service transfers none of that to you. While your account is active you have a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Hourari for its intended purpose.
Your data stays yours. Calendar events, roster details, pay information and the analytics derived from them remain the property of you or your employer. We process them only to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy, and we claim no ownership of them. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them to improve Hourari without any obligation to you.
4. Service Disclaimer
Hourari is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the accuracy of cost calculations, availability of the service, or fitness for a particular purpose. Meeting cost estimates are approximations based on the data you provide and should not be treated as exact financial figures.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hourari is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data or business interruption, even if we were told such damages were possible.
Our total liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the service or these terms will not exceed the greater of the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred US dollars.
Meeting costs shown in Hourari are estimates calculated from the data you provide. Decisions you make on the basis of them are yours. Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
6. Subscription and Billing
Every account begins with a free trial of a paid plan. When a trial ends without a paid plan being chosen, or a paid plan ends, the workspace moves to the free plan. The free plan is free of charge, covers up to five people, and includes the features described as free on our pricing page; we may change what it includes, or its limits, with reasonable notice. Your data is not deleted when a workspace moves to the free plan. If a workspace on the free plan has more than five people, we give its owner 14 days' notice, after which only five people keep access to it until a paid plan is chosen; nobody's data is deleted. Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) as selected at the time of purchase, and they renew automatically at the same interval until you cancel. Prices are exclusive of VAT and any other applicable sales tax, which is added at checkout where we are required to charge it. Prices are subject to change with reasonable notice. You are responsible for all charges incurred under your account.
7. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period, after which the workspace moves to the free plan.
If you are within 30 days of your first paid charge, you may instead request a full refund of that charge by contacting hello@hourari.com, and we will return it in full. This 30-day money-back guarantee applies once per customer, to the first payment made after a trial. Outside that window, no refunds will be issued for partial billing periods.
8. Suspension and Termination by Hourari
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms or our Acceptable Use Policy, if a payment fails and is not resolved, if your use threatens the security or stability of the service or another customer's data, or if we are required to by law.
Where the circumstances allow it, we will give you notice and a reasonable chance to put the problem right first. Where they do not — active abuse, or a threat to security — suspension may be immediate. We may also discontinue the service altogether on 30 days' notice, refunding any fees you have prepaid for the period after it ends.
You can export your data at any time up to termination. After that it is deleted as described in our Privacy Policy, which also sets out the two narrow records we keep afterwards and why.
9. Leaving a Workspace
If you belong to someone else's workspace, you can leave it at any time from Settings, and an owner or admin can remove you. Either way your Hourari account continues to exist; what ends is your access to that workspace and its meetings, costs, and reports. Meetings you organized stay with the workspace, because they are its records rather than yours.
When you are removed, we disconnect the calendar and messaging integrations you had connected for that workspace and revoke our access to them. You keep the right to download or delete your data, and the settings that do so stay available to you.
If you own a workspace, you cannot leave it while other people are in it. Transfer ownership to another member first, from Settings → Security. Ownership carries the subscription with it; the payment method on file remains yours until the new owner replaces it.
10. Actions Hourari Takes in Your Calendar
When you connect a calendar, you allow Hourari to make changes to it on your behalf. Hourari makes a change when you ask it to, for example by creating a meeting, declining one, or changing one you organize: shortening, rescheduling or cancelling it, adding or removing the people invited to it, or ending a recurring series. It also makes one kind of change without being asked each time: if your workspace turns on recurring meeting reviews with enforcement, a recurring series whose organizer does not respond to its review is given an end date, after the notice described in the app. Each change is made through your calendar account, as if you had made it yourself.
Your calendar provider may notify the people affected, from your account: an invitation when someone is added, an update when a meeting changes, and a cancellation when someone is removed or a meeting is cancelled. You are responsible for the changes you ask Hourari to make and for having the right to invite the people you add.
11. Governing Law and Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to them or to the service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and both parties consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
Before starting proceedings, both parties agree to try to resolve the dispute informally: write to legal@hourari.com describing the problem, and allow 30 days to resolve it.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service. When a change is material, we will tell you in the app and ask you to agree to the updated terms before you continue using Hourari. If you do not agree, you can stop using the service and cancel your subscription from Settings. Other changes take effect when we publish them here, and the date at the top of this page shows when that last happened.
13. Contact
