What quiet days are
A quiet day is a weekday your company keeps free of internal meetings, such as "no meetings on Thursdays". Hourari doesn't decline or move anything. It shows you when the day is kept and when it isn't, so the rule doesn't quietly wear away.
Quiet days are on the Business and Enterprise plans.
Set your quiet days
Owners and admins can set them:
- Open Settings → Meeting rules.
- Under Quiet days, select one or more days.
Changes save as soon as you select a day. To turn quiet days off, unselect every day. If your plan changes, you can still remove days, but not add them.
What counts as a break
A meeting breaks a quiet day when it:
- falls on a quiet day in your company's time zone (set in Settings → Company), and
- has at least two people, and nobody from outside your company.
Meetings with customers, candidates or anyone outside your company don't count. A 1:1 between two colleagues does. Meetings you or a colleague declined don't count.
See how it's going
Owners and admins see a Quiet days card on Insights → Meeting patterns:
- This week: each internal meeting that landed on a quiet day, with its organizer, length and number of people.
- Teams: each team's number of weeks in a row with no breaks, how much of last week's quiet days its people kept as focus time (blocks of two hours or more between 9am and 6pm), and its breaks so far this week. Teams are ranked against each other. Individual people are never ranked.
A team's quiet day counts as broken when any of its members organizes or attends a break. Members without a connected calendar aren't counted, because Hourari can't see their day.
Streaks count only full weeks after you last changed your quiet days, so setting a day doesn't award weeks nobody kept, and meetings from before the rule don't count as breaks. If you filter Insights to one team, the card shows only that team.
Interruption cost
If you can see meeting costs, each break shows an interruption cost: twice what the meeting costs, as a measure of the focus time it breaks up. It appears only on this card. The meeting's real cost is unchanged everywhere else in Hourari, including totals, budgets, exports, reports and the API.
Members don't see the card or the setting.
