Why your team list matters
Hourari prices people's time, so who is on your team decides how accurate your costs are. A colleague on the list is priced at their own rate; one who is not yet on it is priced at your fallback rate if they are on your company's email domain, and not at all if they are not. See how costs are calculated.
Invite people
Owners and admins can invite from the Team page:
- Open Team and choose Invite people.
- Paste one or more email addresses, or upload a CSV exported from your HR system. Up to 200 people can be invited at once.
- Choose whether they join as a member or an admin. Only the owner can invite admins.
Invitations expire after 7 days. Pending invitations are listed on the Team page, where they can be resent or cancelled.
You can also share a link instead: Copy invite link gives you a link that adds whoever opens it to your workspace as a member, with no approval step. Share it only where everyone who can see it should be able to join.
On paid plans each person — including a pending invitation — takes a seat.
Let colleagues join by themselves
If you add your company's email domain in Settings → Company → Company email domains, people who sign up with an address on that domain are offered the chance to ask to join your workspace. Requests appear on the Team page, where an owner or admin approves or declines them.
Personal email providers such as Gmail are never used for this, so adding a domain only ever matches people at your company.
Roles and access
- Owner — one per workspace. Manages billing, the salary catalog and ownership, and sees everything.
- Admin — manages the team and most settings. Admins can invite and remove members, but cannot change other admins or the owner.
- Member — sees their own meetings and personal settings.
What each role can see is up to you: see Who can see costs.
In the invite and member dialogs, Role also means the person's job role — the one their salary rate comes from in role-based costing. That is separate from their access level.
Teams
On the Business plan, the Teams tab on the Team page groups people into teams, gives each team a lead, and compares spend between them.
