Pay is the median annual wage for lawyers (SOC 23-1011) in the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics, May 2025 national estimates, released 15 May 2026. Half of people in the role earn more and half earn less. Each hourly rate is the annual figure divided by 2,080 working hours, the same basis as our meeting cost calculator.
